Plagiarism Detection Systems

In this post I'd like to compare certain plagiarism detection system that I have used in my writing career. I am not saying these are the best companies to work with, but I can objectively discuss the positive and negative aspects of every system. Working with a good plagiarism detections system is a must for every academic writer. It's not only about copying stuff from the internet, but to make sure that the content of your paper is completely original and unique, not to get the customer in trouble. Actually, I want to discuss three particular plagiarism detections systems:
  • Plagiarismdetect.com
  • Copyscape.com
Let's start with Plagiarismdetect.com. That's my first website that I have been using for about a year. Most of the times I was satisfied with their service, which was free by the way. Actually, I have never plagiarized a single paragraph in my entire life - neither when I was in college nor during my writing career. Well, long story short, when I was using the website I was involved in some editorial services with my previous company, before I started with Bookwormlab.com. I had to proofread, edit, revise and rewrite academic papers for customers who have already written their essays or term papers, but were not sure whether it was something worth to hand in. Of course, sometimes students sent plagiarized papers for me to edit. That's when I figured out that Plagiarism-detect does not actually work that good, for some papers that passed this system turned out to be plagiarized at Turnitin.com. So, I was deeply disappointed and never used it again. Oh, and now they started to charge money for their service, but I'm not sure whether anything changed over this time.
Copyscape.com is the one I am using right now and I am very satisfied with the results. It's really cheap, only $0.05 per search. Thus you get 200 searcher for $10 and they'll last you for a while. Also, you can compare two separate documents to see how they match up. That's something you won't find a lot on the internet, and even if you will, it's very hard to make something out of it. With Copyscape.com it's fast and simple. Bookwormlab.com highly recommends Copyscape plagiarism detection system to it's writers, and they are no affiliates or something - it has just proven to be effective. Well, I don't want to look like I've been advertising any of the systems, but it's merely my opinion based on my experience with the companies stated above.
Bookwormlab.com uses Copyscape.com to check every single paper they get from writers before sending it to customers. This procedure ensures double plagiarism check for every paper and guarantees totally unique and original content. That's good for the company and even better for its customers.
